John & Clara serve as church planters overseas (undisclosed location).
Prayer Requests:
- Refugee ministry – weekly visits to the camps and ghettos to minister to refugees. Pray for open hearts, dreams of Jesus, opportunities to share the hope of Jesus.
- Language Acquisition – we are learning Arabic, one of the hardest languages in the world. Pray for humility, perseverance and favor!
- Visas – living overseas we need to have a viable visa for long-term work. Pray for God’s guidance and provision of work and visa each year.
- Family flourishing – unity and joy in our marriage, Godly friends for our children.
- Doris Stam – Clara’s widowed mother who lives in Durham. Pray for God’s sustaining grace and comfort in her life, while we will be far away.
- Cultural Transition – New … everything! New food, friends, school, home, transportation, language, customs. Pray for growing understanding of and love for the people and culture of our new home.
